THE STORY

The Carlsbad 5000 has long been one of the premier road races in the country, bringing together elite athletes, everyday runners, and the local community. Our goal was to document the event beyond the finish line, capturing the emotion, personalities, details and moments that make race day memorable.

THE APPROACH

Working as a two-person team, we divided our focus between cinematic video and documentary photography to tell a complete story of the event. Alongside race coverage, we created environmental portraits and short interviews with participants, producing a versatile library of content that captured both the energy of competition and the people behind it.
